Complete beginners

You do not need any Pilates experience to start. Sessions begin from the very basics: how to breathe, how to connect to your core, and how to move safely. Everything is explained clearly, at your pace, with no pressure or expectation. Most clients arrive unsure and leave feeling capable.

Injury & rehabilitation

Hael sits alongside Better Flow Physio on Hackney Road. Sessions can be tailored to complement your physiotherapy or recovery plan. Please share any injuries or conditions when you book, as this shapes your programme from the very first session.

Pre & post natal

Pilates is one of the most recommended forms of movement during and after pregnancy. Sessions are carefully adapted to support your body through each trimester and into recovery, focusing on pelvic floor strength, core reconnection, and safe, gentle progression.

Mentor.

As a certified Mat and Comprehensive teacher and mentor for Polestar Pilates UK, I support students through their training. Mentoring sessions cover movement analysis, client programming, anatomy and biomechanics, Polestar principles, practical technique refinement, and exam preparation, each session focused on your specific areas of development. Available one-to-one in studio or online, priced the same as regular sessions.

Three one-hour private sessions that serve as your personal introduction to Hael. Each session covers postural assessment, apparatus introduction, and the beginning of a programme built entirely around your body and goals. It is ideal if you are new to Pilates, new to apparatus work, working through an injury, or simply want a personal and considered start. It is an offer, not a requirement.

None at all. The Intro Signature Discovery is designed for new clients from the ground up. By the end of your three intro sessions you'll have a solid grasp of the apparatus and what your practice will focus on going forward.

Semi-Private sessions have a maximum of three clients. Injuries, pathologies and individual goals are carefully considered before every session, and each class is built around what everyone in the room needs, so the work is always relevant, intentional and personal to you. Private Elite is entirely one to one. The full 55 minutes is dedicated to you alone. Your goals, your body, your programme. Your instructor's focus, creativity and care are yours completely. This is the highest level of personal attention Hael offers.

Yes, this is an area Hael specialises in. We work closely with Better Flow Physio upstairs, so sessions can complement your rehabilitation directly. Please share any injuries or conditions when you book, as this allows us to prepare your session around you from the very first visit.

Just yourself and a pair of grippy socks (also known as Pilates or non-slip socks). These are essential for stability on the apparatus.

The studio is equipped with Balanced Body apparatus: Reformer, Combo Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector, and Wall Tower. Sessions draw on the full range depending on your programme and always combine mat work alongside the equipment, bringing together the best of both approaches.

Hael is located at Studio 3, 430 Hackney Road, London E2 6QL, downstairs within the Better Flow Physio building. Better Flow Physio is a specialist physiotherapy clinic on the ground floor,ring the bell and head downstairs to the studio. Nearest station is Cambridge Heath (London Overground), a short walk away. Bethnal Green (Central line) is also within walking distance. Full directions will be sent once your session is confirmed.

Paola Grasso has been teaching movement for over a decade, working with clients across yoga, meditation and Pilates. Her practice began with a deep personal connection to yoga and meditation, a journey that shaped not just how she teaches, but how she sees the body and the people in her care. A spine injury in 2017 led her to the Polestar method, and with it a specialist focus on rehabilitation, chronic pain and intelligent, progressive movement.

Having trained at the highest level, including a 300-hour yoga teacher training in India, Heartcore Reformer Pilates in London, and Polestar Pilates Level 3 International, Paola is also a Mentor in Training for Polestar Pilates UK, supporting students through their own qualifications. Her commitment to learning, growing and becoming the best version of herself is at the heart of everything she does.

To me, Hael means whole. Rooted in the Old English words for heal and health, it carries everything I believe a movement practice should offer: genuine connection, deep care, and the space to return to your truest self. This is the studio I created to hold that intention.
